SPECIAL NOTICE July 4, 2006: Junglebook Legend of Peñasquitos awarded the SW Best Black Silver Marbled Bengal of the year.

Junglebook Legend of Peñasquitos - F4: as soon as this kitten is old enough, roughly April 2006, we will use him as a stud cat. As a 6 month old kitten he placed 3rd best Bengal and 10th best All Breed at “On Safari 2005” against 109 Bengal kittens, 146 kittens overall.
We expect great things from this male. It is very difficult to win at the international “On Safari” since only the very best of the very best from all over the world are entered. It is more difficult to win with a silver and almost impossible to win with a silver marble. The two Bengals that placed ahead of “Chunky Monkey” were both brown spotted. He has a large frame, is muscular, extremely vigorous, playful, and friendly. He has large wild eyes, a short thick tail, small ears and will pass a horizontal pattern with no “bulls-eye” to his progeny. Legend’s father is brown spotted, his mother is silver sepia spotted. Legend’s pelt has no brown and no tarnish whatsoever–he consistently wins best color. Although his marble pattern lacks the “stained glass” look, the black in the marble pattern is dominant. He will pass larger, horizontal rosettes when bred with a spotted female. Chunky Monkey shows well and we hope to “supreme grand champion” him. “Chunky Monkey’s” father, Junglebook Cubby Coo The Rajah’s Cat” won best kitten at “On Safari 2004” and all the Bengal breeder awards.
Legend, a.k.a. “Chunky Monkey,” is F4 on his mother’s side and F-5 on his father’s side so he is doubled up with Asian Leopard Cat (ALC) which is where he gets his speed, agility, size, and love for climbing and yet he loves people and follows them around the house. We are extremely grateful to Leslie Hall for making this wonderful male available to us.
